Default Traders read before posting...

This section of the board is largely controled by the fans. Please treat each other with respect and honesty. If you have a problem with a trader, DO NOT post their personal info on this forum. You can post their name, AKAs, and the city and state they live in. Fans selling or trading DVDs from the following:

HKL
IVL (Celestial)
Soulblade
or any legit company.

Please remove them from the lists on this site or your lists will be deleted. The companies in question have complained about the bootlegs being sold and promoted on this site. This includes boots using prints taken from these DVDs. Threads promoting these will also be deleted.

Note: This is NOT talking about original DVDs, but copies of these DVDs.

I'll edit my list this afternoon.

Is it copies from those specific distributors' product and/or copies of films they have the rights to (but are taken from another source)?

Just so I'm clear.

I'm surprised Celestial are complaining. For years it looked like they didn't give a @#%$ about what people on this forum wanted but now they're monitoring our trade lists? Bizarre.

And Soulblade should be so lucky.... :p

But yes, I'll respect the new rules.

As a loyal citizen of the KFF Empire, I have altered my list to keep the peace. However, let it be known that the tyrannical Manchus who dare interfere with our domain will never break my spirit nor will I become subservient to their evil ways.

For theirs isn't one pure of heart as they use their gung fu, not for spiritual enlightenment or nobility, but only as a device to inflate their crammed coffers with further materialistic gain.

On a serious note... I can understand (and empathize with) these companies wishing to protect their interests. However, it is DVDr trading which has allowed me to test-drive new films before buying. There's many a Celestial I would have never purchased if I hadn't first had the opportunity to preview them. In a way, DVDr trading has actually created more revenue for them (at least from me, that is).

In any event, trading will go on (if not here, elsewhere) and "spitting on a brush fire" will do little to stop it. Down with the Manchus - long live KFF!

Agreed. I can think of a half-dozen.

Default Mark,

it's copies of their product. And they've complained before actually, this is just a much bigger deal. What you do off site is another deal though. I personally don't care about trading, but can understand them not liking people selling the discs. Thanks to everyone for understanding.

Linn,

I understand but two quick questions in re too celestial does this only apply to copies of their discs and doesnt include vhs dubs or us releases (ie Opium and the KF Master VHS from Korea, or GZ DVDs) things that dont use their audio or video elements). I would take it redubs are a no no now OTOH.

Thanks
Ian

I think the solution will just be keeping a public and private list if people want during a trade they can always ask about a private trade list.
